Success for Archana Girish Kamath on the morning of Saturday 23rd January against Brazil’s Leticia Nakada at the 11even 2015 ITTF World Junior Circuit Finals in Indore signalled a milestone for the host nation.

The result meant that the 15 year old became the first Indian player to progress to the quarter-final stage in the history of the tournament, which first saw the light of day in Stockholm in December 2012.

Occupying the no.13 seeded position in the competition, she accounted for
Pauline Chasselin of France, the no.4 seed (11-7, 8-11, 11-7, 11-7, 6-11, 11-6)to complete her first phase contests.
